Osberg, Dorry, Gardner and Werner seek midterm offices.
ALEXANDRIA — On June 8, the Douglas County DFL hosted a meet-and-greet event where four midterm candidates spoke on their concerns and positions relating to local governance.
Erik Osberg is the DFL-endorsed candidate for Congressional District 7 in the US House of Representatives. Osberg said his priorities begin with defending the Constitution of the United States. He said he will advocate for the residents of the all or portions of 38 counties in western Minnesota that make up CD7 — on healthcare, public education and agriculture. An outdoorsman himself, Osberg said he would incentivize good stewardship conservation programs.
Osberg grew up in Upsala and graduated from Hamline University before becoming a sports reporter/anchor. He then worked in the financial sector for almost a decade before becoming the Rural Rebound Initiative Coordinator for Otter Tail County. He has served in that capacity since 2017, promoting the benefits of rural development and communities.
