WADENA, MINN. (Valley News Live) – Erik Osberg won the DFL endorsement for Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District on Saturday, earning 65% of the vote on the first ballot.
Osberg defeated Minnesota State House Rep. Heather Keeler, who received 35% of the vote.
“I’m incredibly humbled and grateful to the delegates, and honored to have earned their trust and their vote,” Osberg said. “Our campaign talks a lot about gratitude and I couldn’t have reached this point without the incredible team we’ve put together.”
Osberg, a first-time candidate for office, has worked for the last nine years as the Rural Rebound Initiative Coordinator for Otter Tail County. He will face Republican Michelle Fischbach in the general election in November.
