Update from Wadena, MN
on your marks, get set, go
Election year is here. Gonna keep workin’ hard, cuz the easy bus never comes around.
Election Year is Officially Here
We did it. We made it to 2026. We are now officially in election year – an election that very well may shape the future of this nation. We’ve come a long way since we announced our campaign last March – as a campaign, as a party, as a region, as a district. When we announced, our hypothesis was that there are blue dots on the map throughout Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District & it was our job to connect those dots. I like to believe we’ve done that so far and it’s because you have answered the call. We are where we want to be in the process. Plenty of challenges lie ahead. However, today we are focused on progress.
Speaking of believing… believe it or not, we are approaching the midway point of this campaign. We’ve been at this for pert near 10 months and there’s now less than 10 months to go until Election Day. What this means is, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is not a train.
It is the light of hope. It is the light of chance. It is the light of voices that had been silent speaking up. It is the light of a room full of people bound together by a love for their Country, for their Constitution. I’m not a fan of labels, but these folks might be best described as Prairie Patriots.
Enjoy the day. Win the day if you can. We’ve got a long way to go & a short time to get there.
Statement about Venezuela

If you’ve been following this campaign, you already know our slogan by heart. Occasionally we get asked, “Ok, that’s catchy, but what do you mean by that?” There are a lot of answers to that question, and we’ll start laying those answers out in terms of policy in the weeks ahead. But for now, let’s talk about what we believe this campaign has already done BETTER.
If you have met us in person, or been to one of our events, we hope you feel like we listened – like we truly took the time to listen to your concerns. We hope you feel like we listened with the intent to understand, rather than judge. We hope you feel like we have put in the work in all 38 counties of Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District. We hope you feel like we’ve been in public settings, ready & willing to not only answer questions, but ask questions as well. We hope you feel like we’ve looked you in the eye, shook hands, maybe even broke bread together. We hope you feel a sense of community, belonging, and trust.
By comparison, our current representative in Congress holds “town halls” over the phone, meets with a select few in private, and shrugs off the concerns of people who didn’t vote for them.
What will we do better? We believe we are already doing it. We have a proven track record of showing up in places often ignored, meeting voters face-to-face, and listening to their concerns. You deserve at least that much from your representative.
WE > ME
It has been said that candidates win elections, but campaigns are won by a team. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has stepped forward & jumped on Team Osberg over the past couple months. We went through a growth spurt in late October and I can honestly say we are now bigger, faster, and stronger than we were 2 months ago. Over the coming weeks, we will be profiling members of our Leadership Team. Most of these people are volunteers who are dedicating a big chunk of their life to the cause. Some of these folks you already know. Some have played more of a “behind the scenes” role. This truly has been a team lift, and we’re excited to show you the team we’ve built.
I’m forever grateful for all the actions people are taking. Every handshake. Every head nod. Every bit of encouragement along the way. I’m even grateful for the “tough” questions. Every question & interaction has helped me become a better communicator, or at least I hope they have.
If you would like to get more involved with our campaign, please email info@erikosberg4congress.com and let us know how you think you can help. We are still identifying areas of need and building processes to expand, but if you want to volunteer, we’d love to have ya on the team.

This campaign is a team effort. And the work is the reward.

Actions You Can Take
Caucuses are coming!
We are less than a month away from precinct caucuses here in Minnesota. Whether you’ve attended 50 caucuses or this will be your first time, we want you to feel comfortable attending your precinct caucus on Feb. 3rd to help ensure our campaign will be on the ballot come November. That’s why our team is preparing virtual caucus training events on the evenings of January 14th and January 28th. Mark your calendars, and look for more information and Mobilize sign up to come.
As a reminder, you can commit to caucus for our campaign here. After the precinct caucuses will come County/Senate District Conventions. Delegates will be chosen at those conventions to attend the 7th Congressional District Convention on April 25th. Specific caucus locations should be announced in mid-January. Keep an eye out for updates to our website with more info!
