1st door knock
I believe the best way to communicate with voters is face-to-face. A solid door knocking strategy will be an important part of our process. We intentionally knocked doors the same day as our Pipestone COMMUNITY FISH FRY on Sunday. What a great town. If you’ve never visited, we highly recommend it. Not sure if you’ve heard this before, but I was a door-to-door salesperson for 5 years of my life. It’s how I paid my rent while working through college. It took a couple doors, but the skillset came back to me. I only knocked 30(ish) doors, but I talked to 10 people. Each conversation had meaning. One person said they “vote the person, not the party.” We like that. As a team, we made sure to invite folks we talked with to the community fish fry at Hiawatha Pageant Park. It was the perfect setting.
We knew a storm was on the horizon, so we hustled to get the fryer goin’. Then the rains came. Fortunately, all the fish were cooked and the park shelter had doors. Roughly 30 people were on hand including, Caitlyn Sanow-Minett who is running for MN Senate in District 21. She shared the vision for her campaign & talked about community, transparency & “balance not extremes.” We liked that too. Pipestone County Sheriff Candidate Dustin Seiler was there as well and did a great job fielding questions.

Our goal is to raise $300k by the end of May. We are at roughly $245,000 now. That means we gotta raise over $50k in 2 weeks. Can we? Perhaps, & you can help. Just forward this email to a friend or family member & suggest they help us flip MN07.
We have well over 500 volunteers already signed up, and we are gonna need more. In an effort to organize our volunteers, we hosted a virtual volunteer summit last week. Host a House Party-
House parties are a great way to organize in your local community and help to raise funds and recruit volunteers in a comfortable setting. You can either invite neighbors, family, and friends or ask us to invite local supporters and friends-to-be. Thank You Tour
Hubbard Co. Stop
Our “Thank You Tour” took us back to Hubbard County starting on May 11. This was our 5th visit to Park Rapids since launching our campaign. 3 state candidates were on hand as well. MN House 2B Candidate Emily Thabes, MN Senate District 5 Candidate Skylar Fynboh & MN House 5A Candidate Dan Mitchell each addressed the room. They shared their reasons for running and vision for a better future.
There was a good turnout at the thank you stop in Hubbard Co.
So great to see so much energy going into organizing this early in the election cycle. Super grateful for all the work people are doing across western Minnesota.
HEADS UP! The Hubbard County DFL Walleye & Wild Rice dinner is Friday, June 26th. We attended last year’s event and it was IMPRESSIVE. Highly recommend.
Swift Co. Stop
The Thank You Tour took us back to Benson on May 12. Our 1st visit to this very same room was back on March 18th, 2025. One of the coolest parts of this town, in my humble opinion, is the historic Swift County building. We had a very robust conversation, and once again, it started to feel like a problem solving session. Appreciate all the feedback. It’s gonna take all of us to flip this district.

Ditch Cleaning in Meeker Co.
Did a little ditch cleaning Saturday morning with the Meeker County DFL. Was great to get some fresh air & sunshine while contributing to some community works.
Also had the opportunity to see Mali Anderson, the DFL endorsed candidate for MN State House 17A. We first met Mali back in the summer of 2025. Great to see her running for office. Her passion, authenticity and intelligence are off the charts. Super grateful for the support from this group and was glad we were able to make time for some ditch cleaning. Will share more on that later. Also got to see Team member Andy E. and other friends we’ve made along the way.

We Can Do Better
Our current Congressperson voted against the War Powers Resolution to remove the United States Armed Forces from hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran again on 5/14/26. According to the Pentagon, this conflict has cost U.S. taxpayers roughly $29 billion so far – and that may be an underestimate for all we know. The resolution failed in a 212-212 tie.
As your Congressperson I would have voted in favor of this resolution.

I am running for Congress to be a voice for farmers & to restore western Minnesota’s representation on the Ag committee in Washington D.C.
I’m running to fight for our rural economies & stand up for the working class.
I’m running against a career politician who is beholden to corporations, not the people working the fields in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District.

Earlier this week, a farmer I’ve spoken with in Marshall Co. texted me this pic of the view from their office. They added, “For me, farming is a chance to carry on family tradition, work for myself and do something that is necessary for society. I think that farmers have borne the brunt of (many) of the current administration’s policies. Tariffs, ending USAID, SNAP cuts, the Iran War – these are things that destroy our markets and raise our input prices with no tangible benefits for the working class. Gas is high, groceries are high and crop prices are barely profitable. Meanwhile, the rich (who got tax cuts) are buying up land and turning farmers into modern day serfs. It is an attack on our way of life.”
Grateful they were willing to share their perspective with me. We can do better.
