purple people power

After today, there will only be 18 Mondays before the mid-term elections. Our goal over the past 68 Mondays (since publicly announcing this campaign) has been to inform, energize, organize and mobilize. I am proud to say we have done that. Our people-powered approach was on full display all over Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District over the weekend. Purple shirts could be seen at multiple parades on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

We joined forces with the Julie Henslin for House campaign & the Kandiyohi County DFL for the Willmar Fests Grande Parade Saturday morning. Between the 3 camps we had roughly 50 people walking through downtown. As Julie said afterward, “we made an impression.” I know it is natural to start looking at the scoreboard right now. I know our end goal is to win. However, if we take our eye off the ball for just 1 day, or 1 week, we could end up regretting not doing everything possible to flip Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District. So far, I believe it is safe to say we haven’t let many opportunities to connect with people slip by. We’ve done so publicly and tried to listen to people from all walks of life, on both sides and in the middle. Hope you will join us. There are many actions you can take. You can volunteer, donate, or forward this email to a friend. It’s never too late to get involved. Forever grateful for all the work being put in by so many people. I appreciate you.

From parades to house parties to festivals to fish frys. This summer is going to be a blur. Keep scrolling to get a glimpse of what is happening this coming week.

With Gratitude,

Erik

A Look Back

Hubbard County DFL Walleye & Wild Rice Dinner was INCREDIBLE! I was told they served 335 people at the American Legion in Park Rapids, MN Thursday night. Always fun to connect with supporters & meet new neighbors as well. Also good to catch up with the other candidates running locally & statewide.  When we attended last year’s Walleye Dinner and loved the energy in the room. This time it felt even better. So much good work is getting done by so many people. Keep up the good work! & remember #wecandobetter.

Roughly 350 people packed the American Legion in Park Rapids, MN for the Hubbard County Walleye Dinner.

Parade season is in full swing.

We are creating connections one voter at a time.

The Get out the Vote Boat was in Willmar & Westbrook this weekend.
