setting the pace, finding our rhythm

Kittson County showed up for a “We the People” Town Hall.

After sprinting out of the blocks, we now find ourselves establishing a sustainable rhythm. I’ve talked about approaching this race like a marathon, rather than a sprint. The midterm elections are still 560(ish) days away. That being said, we are still getting out there and listening to people in MN-07.

Last week, we visited 3 new counties. Roseau, Kittson & Lac qui Parle. The meeting in Kittson County was a non-partisan town hall. Current representatives were invited, but didn’t show up. For an hour and a half, citizens shared their thoughts about social security, health care, veterans, education & agriculture. One of the most impactful questions I heard was; “What assurances do we have that rural seniors won’t be forgotten or left behind?” I wish the current reps had been in the room to hear that, and other concerns/stories.
