POLICY ISSUES
This campaign launched March 11, 2025. Since the beginning, we’ve talked about taking a different path to achieve a different result. I intend to look at past, current, and future legislation through a lens of restore, reform, and repeal. What legislation has passed that negatively impacts our country and that needs to be repealed? What has been taken away that should be restored? And lastly, what in our political system needs to be reformed?
This isn’t your typical campaign, and this isn’t your typical issues section. Our intent wasn’t to tell people what to think, but rather to listen to their concerns. In response to what we heard, this is our plan to improve the lives of the people we seek to serve.

Veterans
Minnesota is home to over 260,000 military service veterans who have served our country. Nationwide, over 30,000 of our veterans are homeless, many struggle with finding gainful employment, and too many suffer from PTSD and substance abuse issues. Recently, corporate interests have been pushing to privatize many VA services.

I have the utmost respect for those that have served and sacrificed so much for our country, and will honor our obligation to veterans to ensure they get the support and respect that they deserve.
I support expanding access to educational opportunities and employment retraining programs to help veterans adjust and transition to life after military service.
I will fight to fully fund our VA system, with an increased focus on mental health and substance abuse issues.
I will fight against recent attempts at VA privatization, which would remove accountability and oversight in veteran care and drain valuable dollars from VA programs. Our care of veterans should be part of the contract—the responsibility of us whose safety and freedoms are protected—not something for private corporations to profit from.
