POLICY ISSUES
This campaign launched March 11, 2025. Since the beginning, we’ve talked about taking a different path to achieve a different result. I intend to look at past, current, and future legislation through a lens of restore, reform, and repeal. What legislation has passed that negatively impacts our country and that needs to be repealed? What has been taken away that should be restored? And lastly, what in our political system needs to be reformed?
This isn’t your typical campaign, and this isn’t your typical issues section. Our intent wasn’t to tell people what to think, but rather to listen to their concerns. In response to what we heard, this is our plan to improve the lives of the people we seek to serve.

Constitutional Concerns
One of the reasons I was inspired to run for office was due to my own concerns with the deterioration of rights promised in our Constitution. This sentiment has been echoed by the voices of the people of this district – at nearly every stop we’ve made, the Constitution comes up as something on the minds of voters. Article One of our Constitution names Congress as the first of three co-equal branches of government. But the last few administrations – and especially the current one – have consolidated the majority of power to the executive branch. Congress has relinquished its role in spending, tariffs, oversight, and so much more.

If elected, I will work to restore the powers of Congress as defined in the Constitution.
Other areas of constitutional concern that should be addressed – if there hasn’t been a direct violation, the threat is clear and present:
Article I, Sect. 8 - Powers of the Legislative Branch (tariffs/power of the purse)
Article 1, Sect. 2 - Period of time between apportionment
First Amendment - Freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition
Second Amendment - Right to Bear Arms
Fourth Amendment - Search and Seizure
Fifth Amendment - Due Process
Fourteenth Amendment Sect 1 - Citizenship Rights, Equal Protection
Fifteenth Amendment - Right to Vote Not Denied by Race
Sixteenth Amendment - Income Tax
Nineteenth Amendment - Women’s Right to Vote (SAVE Act)
Twenty-Second Amendment - Two-Term Limit on Presidency
Twenty-Sixth Amendment - Right to Vote at Age 18 (Voting Rights)
